Monthy Library Theme for October
We are “finding treasures” in our Bulletins, Journals and Newsletters! We have collections from most states for over 35 years. Most of them include indexes in each issue, quarterly, or yearly. Issues can include genealogy records, cemetery records, probate records, biography records, etc., and queries. Click on this link to see our state and issue holdings.
Anne's Sr. Class
Thursday, October 12th, 10:00 - 12:00, WAGS Library Reading Room

October’s meeting will concentrate on the cooperative Family Tree at FamilySearch.

We will discuss adding people and information, attaching records, correcting mistakes, citing sources, printing charts and other tricks and tips.  Also, we will discuss how to get more hints from the tree when we get stuck with our personal research!

 WAGS Members are welcome!

A Taxing Matter: Using Tax Lists in Genealogy
Join us for a webinar presented by lecturer, educator and writer (also former lawyer and law professor) Judy G. Russell, and find out how genealogy and the practice of law can complement each other! Tax lists of all kinds, whether head taxes or taxes on real estate or personal property, are a rich source of data on families and individuals often recorded nowhere else. Find out more about these records and how they could help your research.
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
This meeting will be held in the Apple Room in the Museum Annex Building at the corner of Mission and Yakima
(Once you're in the building, instead of turning right to go to the WAGS Library, just go straight!)
