From Woodin Ave. (S Hwy 97A), in downtown Chelan, take the North Bradley St. turnoff. Continue north until Bradley St. turns into Union Valley Rd. The road leads up a small hill as you leave Chelan. The Fraternal Cemetery is just past this point along the left-hand side of Union Valley Road, near the rodeo grounds.
The IOOF Cemetery and the Masonic Cemetery were merged in 1903 and the ownership was handed over to the Chelan Cemetery Association. The merging of these two cemeteries became known as Chelan Fraternal Cemetery.
“The Fraternal Cemetery, Chelan’s Oldest Burial Place of Pioneers: Inscriptions 1903-1992”, published in 1994 by the Chelan Valley Genealogical Society, contains information on the burials, history, old photos as well as older burials in the older Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
There are no records online at this time, but hardcopies of records are available in the WAGS Library.
