Using Historical Maps for Genealogical Research

These maps allow genealogy researchers to place our ancestors in a specific location and time. By doing so, we can begin to understand people and the land, migration patterns, and the community where an ancestor lived. By using these maps, we can reduce research time. Fortunately, many maps can be found online for FREE.
