SAD NEWS: People arriving at Anne Livingston=
‘s WVC 1950 Census class last Thursday were the first to hear it. A WVC e=
mployee informed them that Anne had passed away the day before. There are=
no further details at this time. We’re sending heartfelt condolences to =
her family, that they will find peace and comfort in their memories. Our =
memories of Anne go ‘way back–into the 70s and 80s–with all her help or=
ganizing the library, and all the classes she taught for us. I know I nev=
er left a presentation of hers without feeling optimistic and encouraged.=
She will be greatly missed!

Anne would want us to forge ahead. Let’s look forward to our =
Zoom and In-Person=
membership meeting tomorrow. See what’s in store by opening the=
MEETING FLYER for tomorrow’s pro=
gram: “Life on the Farm: Records, Reports and More” with=
Jean Wilcox Hibben. Have you ever stopped to think about your ancestors’=
vocations? Since the growing season is finally off to a start, I thought=
it would be fun to focus on agriculture. Find out why your people were n=
ever “just farmers,” and learn what kind of records they left and how to =
find them. Jean Hibben was a college speech professor, and now a national=
speaker and author. She did background research for two genealogy televi=
sion programs, and hosted podcasts on social history. She hails from Coro=
na, California.

PARKING AT THE PUD: Since our meeting =
is in the middle of the day, the PUD requests that we not park in the lit=
tle lot right next to the door to get to the auditorium. Instead, go a li=
ttle south (downriver) and up the hill to the parking spaces there. The e=
xtra walk will be healthful.
